Lake View
Country House is a Lakeland stone house, situated in the picturesque
village of Grasmere, which is in the centre of the Lake District
National Park in Cumbria. Dating from 1825, the house is
situated in a beautiful and quiet location at the end of a private lane,
but within easy walking distance of the village centre and local
restaurants. The house is set in a large and beautiful Lakeland
garden, with its own Badger sett and magnificent
surrounding views, thought by many to be among the best in the
area. A private footpath meanders down from the garden to
Grasmere lakeshore, alongside the River Rothay, where you can
take advantage of our fishing rights. For those with
an interest in wildlife, a patient vigil may bring the rewarding sight
of the resident badgers, red deer, a kingfisher or perhaps even an
otter.
