With its own lake, Grasmere is a small village situated in the magnificent Lake District National Park.
Our interactive map (above) shows just some of the local walking, cycling and historic sites that make Grasmere one of the most popular tourist destinations in Great Britain. The village itself has an abundance of gift shops, tea rooms and of course a CAMRA real ale pub!
During the summer months there is the annual Grasmere rush-bearing ceremony, a real ale festival, and the widely acclaimed "Grasmere sports", featuring traditional Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, fell racing, hound trailing and lots of stalls.
Come and enjoy Grasmere village, and visit sites including St Oswald’s Church, Sam Read’s Book Shop, Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, and more.
