Helm Crag

The walk to Helm Crag ("The Lion and the Lamb") is level up to Lancrigg hotel, and then climbs steeply. You can simply return by the same route, but it is more interesting to carry on past the summit and then branch down either left or right into the valleys either side, and then follow them back to the village.
